Change your DNS settings to avoid 9 June 2012 DNSChanger issue

As you all must be seening in the media, all rouge servers would be shut down by the US Govt today i.e. 9 July 2012. Hence all machines infected with the malacious bugs which are forcing the machine to use the rouge DNS will need to change the DNS settings in order to keep browsing the internet.
You have an option to use either of the FREE RECURSIVE DNS services provided by Symantec, Google, UltraDNS, OpenDNS etc. A list of the services and the IP addresses of their DNS servrrs are mentioned below.



Open DNS
Primary DNS Server – 208.67.222.222
Secondary DNS Server – 208.67.220.220
Google DNS
Primary DNS Server – 8.8.8.8
Secondary DNS Server – 8.8.4.4
DNS Advantage by Neustar UltraDNS
Primary DNS Server – 156.154.70.1
Secondary DNS Server – 156.154.71.1
Norton DNS
Primary DNS Server – 198.153.192.60
Secondary DNS Server – 198.153.194.60
Please follow the steps mentioned in the following link to change the DNS for Windows or Apple OS. Ideally though a little technical changing the DNS globally on your Router is considered the best practice for a Home or SoHo user.
